Job Overview: The Legal Assistance Volunteer will provide support to The Prison Dr’s legal team, offering guidance and assistance on legal matters related to our mission. This role involves research, document preparation, and possibly advising on cases. Your expertise will help protect the rights of the youth we serve and ensure our operations comply with legal standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with legal research and document preparation.
- Provide guidance on legal matters related to the organization’s mission.
- Review and advise on legal agreements and contracts.
- Support the legal team in ongoing cases as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Legal background or current law student.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Passion for social justice and youth advocacy.
Commitment:
- 5-10 hours per week, with flexible hours.
- Opportunity to work remotely with occasional in-office meetings.
