At The Prison Dr, we are committed to helping children, teens, and young adults overcome behavioral challenges and achieve their greatest potential. Our mission is to provide mentorship and support that fosters a sense of belonging, purpose, and success for all youth
Our Mission Statement
As part of our core mission, we offer troubled youth mentorships, utilizing a unique approach that benefits not only our mentees but the community at large. Developed by our dedicated team led by Myron Fountaine, our methods mainly revolve around a combination of personalized guidance, continuous support, and practical life skills training.
We invest quality time in understanding our mentee’s circumstances, using these insights to tailor mentorships that address unique needs and nurture potential. Instead of focusing solely on academic progress or conventional success metrics, we prioritize personal growth and self-resilience.
Particularly, emphasis is placed on equipping young individuals with essential life skills, helping them learn to solve problems, communicate effectively, and make responsible decisions. This holistic approach prepares each mentee for both present challenges and future endeavors, fostering growth and development beyond the typical boundaries of mentorship.
Through this strategy, we’re creating ripples of positive change throughout Atlanta and other states. After all, our ultimate goal is to pave the path for those under our mentorship to thrive and contribute positively to their respective communities.
Myron Fountaine, also known as The Prison Dr, has dedicated his life to mentoring youth after spending 25 years behind bars for Armed Vehicular Robbery. At just 19 years old, Myron’s life took a dramatic turn, but it was during his time in prison that he discovered his true calling. Driven by his personal experiences and a deep desire to help others avoid the same fate, Myron made it his mission to support and guide children facing behavioral challenges
